I think you could add 'gravity' as a another parameter to the custom maps. Essentially changing how fast we fall or float when jumping. the change in speed would change how we approach plateforms and avoiding enemies. It would definately be cool for its own level gimmick since it could be better designed with the changes in mind. Not something im in any hurry to see added, the game is fun as is.
I finally beat that exceedingly unfair Flappy Guy level Wet Dry Vault. I think i went insane... lost several days of sleep... but the RNG was finally in my favor.... Definately needs rebalancing.... Too many unfair hazard combinations and plenty of times where you are just forced to take damage. Scuttlebugs have bounced me into hazards or blocked off areas, and even overlap with boo buddies making them almost impossible to go through at the wrong time. Big boo can sometimes just block off narrow paths which is what killed me at 3500 the first time i almost won... Its definately completely random if you'll have enough room to avoid him.
Now i can finally 100% the game. I pray for anyone else trying to follow suit.
Beat Beyond Mode last night, really enjoyed this game!! There were a handful of points where things felt a bit unbalanced but other than that I had a great time with it. If there's ever any more skins or enemies in the future, it'd be super cool to Ninji added especially with all of the SMB2 theming going on. Thank you to everyone who worked on this for making such a great game!
That was an amazing game! That Meta Knight boss was tuff! Really cool. I love all the tiny details. The water bubbles and waves splashing from skimming the water, to the super crisp and HD pixel art, the nifty soundtracks, and the joy of collecting skins from popular games. Very well polished game! I will do an Ep#2 very soon! Thanks so much to indie game devs for bringing fun content for us small YouTubers to cover! 🥰🍄💖 Looking forward to any games you publish in the future!
PLEASE add an option to turn off the bonus final boss's voice lines, or potentially allow me to skip the cutscene in phase 2. I can only hear "I'LL CRUSH YOU" and "WHAT'S THAT" so many times. I'm going insane
I feel like a lot of level starts similarly have you wait a really long time, but I could otherwise look past it until I got to this point.
On the topic of pacing, starting a new Endurance Run can feel like such a slog, because the first few levels are so easy that I feel like I just have nothing to do. Maybe like, add a mechanic where you can sacrifice a hit to make the screen scroll faster temporarily? Just a brainstorm
Otherwise, I've been having a blast with this game and watching someone else play it really does not do it justice
I made an account just to complain that Flappy Guy lv3 (wet dry vault) is the most unplayable thing ever made. Just an absolutely insane amount of obstacles, not helped by the poor control gimmick and speed... and then you add a big boo that completely blocks off areas leading to MANY! MANY! unavoidable scenarios where damage boosting and RNG is the only way to win...
Also theres a glitch where you can get stuck on the corners of walls when rubbing against them while falling. Not exactly what you need to experience when the hitboxes of obstacles and the speed of the screen are very unforgiving.
9 hours straight, 3am... impossible level. I have to stop for my own health. You cant convince me the level was play tested. my arms are numb.
True yeah, I think for me it's the munchers. The speed, boo rings, scuttlebugs, having to stay airborne, and block design are already a lot to manage, but on top of that having munchers makes it way too easy to die way before big boo with how easy they are to graze trying to avoid everything else.
I cant count how many times i bounced on a scuttlebug and slammed into a muncher, the scrolling screen wall, or a boo (because someone had the insane idea to have it in the center of the boos) The worst thing that happened to me was i made it to the rain but the water rose trapping me in the narrow corridor with 3 boo buddy rings and big boo directly in the path. I had no choice but to run right into it all. 3500-3600. The tileset was too long to become the big open space at the end in tim
i'm going to formally consider Shiver High Hills the end of the game. if you beat it, congratulations! all the other levels are bonus content and should not be considered part of the main game

Made a video
I had a bunch of fun with this! Conquering the airship section and Reznor in particular were a really hard but satisfying challenge.
Is there a place where I can find the music featured in the game? I really liked some of the arrangements.
Glad to see im still in the top 10 of the leaderboard :)

will there be a mac version in the future?
thanks for the response!
Oh my god I beat the base game, JESUS that final boss is tough

Thank you for summing up exactly how I feel about this level. Here's hoping the dev fixes it so I can get all the crowns.
one of the best Flappy Bird clones i've ever played!
is it possible to resume Journey Mode from the last beaten stage rather than from the beginning?
I'm hoping for this too. ><'

This game is amazing. I have few issues (SPOILERS)
The lightning shield jump seems to jump inconsistently high and i dont know how to control it.
saving a maker loop softlocks the game and doesnt save the level.
im pretty sure fireproof chucks arent fireproof (wait a second can the blue chucks be killed with fire???)
A mode to remove the front scrolling wall would be neat. Kind of like a speedrun mode
You can softlock reznors revenge by having him destroy a bomb on the right side of the screen while hes off screen to the left.
I found daredevil and bossrush to be boring repeats.... even though the bosses are fun
failing to jump off slopes is irritating. maybe itd be good to add extra coyote time when youre on a slope... maybe?
You make progress in journey mode by playing endurance mode right?
(cause if you dont i think you should)
You don't get a funny reward screen for getting all the crowns or anything (unless theres a 7th crown)
The inability to access the final boss from the stage select is bothersome
The music selection is great as is the art and talking flower and bosses and themes and level design and sound usage and general challenge
(thank you for listen to complaints. game is great i loved it)
can you turn this into a phone game? I feel like this would go hard on the phone
i'm praying to god that this game doesn't gets taken down by nintendo
absolutely incredible game
Really fun!! The metaknight fight is HARD but loved the arcade style gamplay
Hello. Your exe is flagged as a trojan by Malwarebytes.
No idea what that could be. It's possible it could be related to the Leaderboard feature. I'll investigate.
A simple idea with great execution. The art is nice, the music is nice, the controls are nice.
This game is really fun and addicting!
